棕櫚葉掃把 / Rectangle Rattan Pillow

扇形植物纖維編器，是一支棕櫚葉編製的掃把，將一整束棕櫚葉抽絲，一端綁結成握柄，另一端散開呈扇形可用來掃物，是漢人日常使用的掃把；根據紀錄，這件物品是1882年George Phillips採集自高雄；1960年由英國皇家植物圓移轉給大英博物館。
A broom made of palm leaves. This kind of broom was commonly used daily by Han Chinese people. It was collected from Takow (present-day Kaohsiung) by George Phillips in 1882 and transferred to the BM from the Royal Botanic Garden (Kew Garden) in 1960.
