雙色幾何紋藺草編蓆樣本 / Sample of Woven Mat Made of Rush Grass

方形藺草編蓆樣本，蓆身用原色藺草和染成黑色的藺草，交錯編出多種細緻的深淺交錯迴文、卍字紋、工字紋、和太陽紋等幾何圖案，四周以淺藍色棉布塊包邊；根據採集記錄，這件物品是史溫侯（Robert Swinhoe）19世紀中葉所採集，1960年由英國皇家植物園移轉而來。
An example of a mat made with black and white geometric patterns. It was collected by Robert Swinhoe in the nineteenth century. This object was transferred from Kew Gardens in 1960.
備註(Note)：
根據原始標籤記載，本件標本原本是Swinhoe (史溫侯)所採集。但1972年清點時發現無編號；推測可能是在1960年與其他文物同時由皇家植物園移轉而來。
An original label writes: 'Bamboo mats made by the Chinese of Formosa; R. Swinhoe'.
