男子繡花帶 / Embroidery Belt for Man

紅黑黃色棉布接合而成之細長背帶，背面底布為深藍色；帶上以鎖鍊繡施有花葉紋等紋飾，形式售漢人風格影響。根據原始記錄，這件標本應該John Alexander Man船長自台灣採集得來，1870年4月29日納入大英博物館的Christy藏品之一。從原始入藏資料推測，本件之織花帶可能可以與As.6693之織花佩袋搭配使用。因此，可能也是採自台灣南端恆春地區排灣族牡丹社群的標本。
Man's belt made of cotton textile; dark blue backing, with embroidered panels including floral designs. It should be from the South Paiwan groups in Taiwan.
