無袖織花上衣，白色苧麻衣身在胸線以下用紅色毛線和深藍色棉，以夾織法挑花織出亮麗的線條、菱形、方塊和複雜變化的塊狀多腳和塊狀人面等幾何織紋；織紋組合間隔為三區塊平行對稱排列。衣領完全無剪裁，下襬無流蘇，前襟開口也無縫扣，呈較傳統的「方衣」形式，衣長和衣寬也較大。臺灣大學人類學博物館1929年入藏的一件埔里大湳部落織花長衣（NTU #638），其形式和織紋圖案與本件上衣相似（見右圖），因此推測這件安慕理牧師捐贈的織花上衣，可能也是採自中部平埔族群巴宰族或噶哈巫族。

Sleeveless woven jacket with red, black, and blue woven patterns on the lower part. It is a traditional square-styled upper garment which is not tailored and with no tassels. It could be male clothing of the Pazeh or Kaxabu groups in central Taiwan. Though, it was donated by Rev. Boris Anderson in 1974, the collector might have been Rev. James Maxwell. The style and visual effects of the woven patterns present on this squared-jacket in plate 6 are very similar to an artifact preserved at the NTU museum which was collected from Puli by Sasaki in 1920s.
