圓形鏤空花葉紋籐編小提籃，以細籐篾編製而成。籃身開口處附有頂蓋，籃底有圈足，二側並有拱形提把；提籃的造型精緻、編紋細膩多變化。提把頂端中央編繞一個小籐圈，可供提掛。小提籃非常輕巧細緻，便於隨身攜帶。根據史溫侯的記錄，這件提籃是當時平原地區原住民婦女盛裝日常嚼食的檳榔切片使用；她們經常提著小編籃外出拜訪朋友，並和大家分食包在荖葉中的檳榔。這件文物藏品1960年代才從倫敦皇家植物園移轉過來。

A round carrying basket made of rattan. According to archival material, it was used for holding sliced betel nut, which was commonly used by the indigenous peoples of Taiwan. This intricate woven basket was used by indigenous women, who would often carry betel nuts rolled up in Areca leaves when they visited friends. The weaving pattern is very special and sophisticated, which is rarely seen in Taiwan. This object was collected by Robert Swinhoe in the nineteenth century. It was donated to Kew Gardens and later transferred to the British Museum in 1960.
