圓筒狀提籃，以細竹篾採柳條編法編製成，籃身開口附頂蓋，籃底無圈足，二側裝有弧形提把，竹提把頂端中央繞編一個小籐圈，可供提掛用。提籃採柳條編紋編成，籃身相對較矮，形式和編紋非常接近漢式榭籃，應該是受到漢文化影響。根據原始採集紀錄，這是臺灣原住民製作使用的物品，推測可能是西部平原原住民用來盛裝物品的用具。

Bamboo woven carrying basket. The woven style of this basket is very similar to a Chinese basket for carrying wedding gifts. According to archival material, it was obtained by Robert Swinhoe in the nineteenth century, first being donated to Kew Gardens and later transferred to the British Museum in 1960. This basket was made by indigenous people in Taiwan, and could have been used for carrying ritual objects.
